"Once again, Progress Now is providing New Mexicans with nothing but misleading information. In May of 2012, Congressman Steve Pearce voted for H.R. 4907, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2012, and it passed the Republican-led House of Representatives. Progress Now chose to omit that fact, along with the fact that the Democrat-controlled Senate failed to act upon the House-passed bill.”
“It is hard to have an open and civil dialogue when groups like Progress Now are clouding the airwaves with misleading accusations void of critical facts.”

Democratic Representative Has Violated New Mexico State Law on Multiple Occasions
Today, the Republican Party of New Mexico called for Attorney General Gary King to appoint an independent prosecutor to direct an open and immediate investigation into the fraud or incompetence of the Sandoval County officials that led to four to five hour waiting lines to vote on Election Day. RPNM appreciates the fact the AG has publicly recognized the “debacle” on Election Day and the possibility of the suppression of voters, but other than a press release, nothing is happening. Quite clearly an immediate investigation by a nonpartisan prosecutor is now required.
