After Years of Campaigning, Denish Favorables Under 50%?
Albuquerque, NM—Yesterday, a poll conducted by a Democrat firm revealed that Diane Denish was leading the gubernatorial race by a close margin. While this data conflicts with an internal poll conducted by the Republican Party of New Mexico, this poll does raise an important question: why is Denish’s favorability so low when she has been running for statewide office since 1994?

Findings of RPNM Poll Changes Liberal Data
Albuquerque, NM—In response to polling results released by a Democratic firm, the Republican Party of New Mexico calls into question the accuracy of these polling conclusions. While today’s findings were based on a series of automated calls—making it more difficult to determine the respondent’s eligibility to vote—a recent poll commissioned by RPNM was based on 500 live interviews with New Mexico voters statewide.

One year later this state's unemployment rate has risen over 3 points, resulting in a loss of over 23,000 jobs.
